Nonparametric analysis of covariance using quantile curves
We consider the problem of testing the equality of J quantile curves from independent samples. A test statistic based on an L2-distance between non-crossing nonparametric estimates of the quantile curves from the individual samples is proposed. Asymptotic normality of this statistic is established under the null hypothesis, local and fixed alternatives, and the finite sample properties of a boo...
متن کاملBayesian nonparametric covariance regression
Capturing predictor-dependent correlations amongst the elements of a multivariate response vector is fundamental to numerous applied domains, including neuroscience, epidemiology, and finance. Although there is a rich literature on methods for allowing the variance in a univariate regression model to vary with predictors, relatively little has been done in the multivariate case. As a motivating...
متن کاملNonparametric Covariance Model.
There has been considerable attention on estimation of conditional variance function in the literature. We propose here a nonparametric model for conditional covariance matrix. A kernel estimator is developed accordingly, its asymptotic bias and variance are derived, and its asymptotic normality is established. A real data example is used to illustrate the proposed estimation procedure.

In the problem of testing the equality of k regression curves from independent samples we discuss three methods using nonparametric estimation techniques of the regression function The rst test is based on a linear combination of estimators for the integrated variance function in the individual samples and in the combined sample The second approach transfers the classical one way analysis of va...
متن کاملAn Approach towards Optimizing Random Forest using Dynamic Programming Algorithm
Random Forest (RF) is an ensemble supervised machine learning technique. Based on bagging and random feature selection, number of decision trees (base classifiers) is generated and majority voting is taken among them. The size of RF is subjective and varies from one dataset to another. Furthermore due to the randomization induced during creation, and its huge size, RF has at best been described...
